Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026
This policy explains what data The KnowledgeBase Blog collects when you visit this website, why, and for how long. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site.
What we collect
Server request logs
Like most websites, our server automatically records technical data for every request: your IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, the referring page, the requested URL, and a timestamp. This is used only to operate and secure the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose problems.
Messages you send us
If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use it solely to reply and handle your request.
Newsletter
The subscription field in the header is not active yet: no email addresses are collected or stored. If we enable it, we will use a submitted address only to send updates, and every email will include an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
We do not set cookies. There are no tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies on this site.
Analytics
We run our own first-party, cookieless analytics to understand which articles are read. For each article view we store: a timestamp, the article and its language, your country (derived from the network / reverse proxy), the referring site's host, a coarse device type (desktop / mobile / tablet), and a daily-rotating pseudonymous identifier used only to count unique visitors.
We do not store your IP address, do not set cookies, and do not use third-party trackers or advertising. The identifier is salted per day, so visits cannot be linked across days or back to you.
Third-party services
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. To fetch them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which means Google may receive your IP address and user-agent. No other third-party embeds or trackers are used.
How we use the data
Only to run and secure the website, diagnose technical issues, and respond to messages you send us. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties for their own purposes.
Data retention
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and diagnostics and are then rotated or deleted. Emails are kept only as long as needed to handle your request.
Your choices
You can block cookies and remote fonts in your browser settings. You may ask us to access or delete the information you have sent us — see About us for contact details.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top reflects the latest revision.
